I normally don’t put much reviews but being so impressed by James Plumbing I felt the need to do it. Being a business owner that I am I was quite satisfied with the customer service they provided as well as the knowledge they had to back that up. Knowledge is key in any business you own and they fixed the problem as needed. I’ve used some plumbers and they weren’t too sure what the problem was and I would end up spending more money in the end and it was quite frustrating. So i’d like to give a 5 star rating to James Plumbing! Good job!

When we returned to Santa Fe and looking forward to some relaxation after several weeks on the road,we arrived at our condo to discover our boiler had taken on a life of its own. It was shuddering and shakingas though about to give birth to an alien. In addition we had no heat nor hot water in December.We called our Home Insurance company and they were unable to find an HVAC Contractor in Santa Fe (which was hard to believe). James came to the rescue! The boiler was over 18 years old and previous attempts to revive it obviously hadn’t worked. Complicating matters were that the boiler was in the loft and weighed who knows how much. The operation took several days which included a floor winch to free the boiler from the loft. All through the ordeal James and crew made sure that nothing was damaged and cared for the condo as though it was his own!We can’t thank James and his crew for the help they provided and could not think of contracting anyoneelse.Gregg

It seems hard to find a trustworthy, dependable and reasonably priced plumber in Santa Fe, but James Martinez and his company fit that bill. I had one plumbing crisis as winter began, to replace an aqua stat on my boiler, which James did within 24 hrs of me getting the part (and it didn't bother him that I purchased my own part). The second job was to repair some copper corrosion which he did cleanly and quickly. He had to come back the next day to bleed out more air from my boiler because I couldn't wait for it to sound normal again on its own. He was patient and incl his second visit as part of his first trip. He is very fair with his pricing. I've had other plumbers really take advantage of my plumbing situations. James doesn't. No plumber shows up right when they say they will, but James tries his best to do so. He likes to communicate via text. I appreciate his quick responses. I will hire James again because he cares and wants to make sure I'm "happy".

I called James with a problem in my radiant heating system. At the time I called it was 55 degrees in my office. He was able to fit me in to his schedule the same day and replaced the defective circulating pump. I am very grateful for his prompt service. I would definitely recommend James to others.

These guys were great. I came home after Christmas and my heater was not working. I could not get TLC who I have a service contract with to come out for 2 days with the New Year holiday coming. I called James Plumbing and Heating and he was out in a few hours. He re-lit the pilot and cleaned some coils. The price was fair and I a warm house in a few hours instead of a few days. I would definitely recommend these guys.

James Plumbing had said they would come between 8-10. No show. I called and they sent someone else. They didn't know why the other person had been a no-show. The guy who came had a huge chip on his shoulder, perhaps because his plan for the day was disrupted. He was incredibly rude. When he gave his estimate and we asked for some explanation of the quote he said "take it or leave it." Then he said "You know what - I don't want to do this anyway. Find another plumber.

We've used James Plumbing twice now to service our home. First off, each time they've had someone out to service the home within a day of us making the call. They are always friendly, efficient and willing to go the extra mile to make sure that things are in working order. James Plumbing took our call late on a Friday; we were looking to get some work done before a hot weekend arrived and they managed to get us an appointment for Saturday morning, which was already above our expectation. There were no surprises in the bill, they were friendly and polite, and when a few issues we didn't know about were identified, the technician made a point to show us evidence and explain to it what its function was and what not repairing it would mean. Replaced a water heater that had been set up very dangerously, took care of my swamp cooler set up and showed up when they said they would. Office staff very helpful as well. James Plumbing is AWESOME!!! Issac and James both are sensational!!! Our heater wasn’t working and it was suppose to be 19 degrees at night in a couple of days. I called over 12 companies and no one seemed to care. James was extremely busy but squeezed us in at the last part of the day. He went above and beyond the call of duty. He sincerely cared when no other company did. He knew immediately what was wrong and fixed it. He was reasonably priced, efficient and courteous. While he was here I asked about an annual check up for our water heater and he scheduled it for us. Issac, Jame’s son, came back in a week to service the hot water heater. He was absolutely fantastic , professional, courteous and efficient. He explained everything to us in a way that made sense. We have shared James Plumbing information with our neighbors and the exceptional service we received. We not use any other company for our plumbing , heating and air. As I live out of town and needed assistance addressing problems with the toilets in our father's Santa Fe Home, my brother and I selected James Plumbing based on the many positive reviews posted on Google reviews. We were not disappointed and were quite pleased with the outstanding service James Plumbing provided us. Our technician, Cameron, had an exceptionally positive attitude, kept us informed throughout the job, and effectively addressed all the issues he encountered during this job. This was no small task for a 60+ year old home where he had to find replacement toilets to fit plumbing specs from back in the day as well as aged plumbing. We would definitely recommend this company. We also thought the cost of the job was quite fair in light of the work performed.

James was responsive in returning my call, and persisted in finding a mutually agreeable time to work on my boiler. He didn't charge me for the first visit because he didn't need to do what I thought was required. He went beyond my original request and tested the boiler and water heater for carbon monoxide output and realized the levels were unsafe. He vowed to return to service everything to ensure my and my daughter's safety in the house. I have a busy schedule and am often unavailable to meet. James kept in touch consistently over multiple weeks and returned as promised to perform the repairs. He and his son also took care of a leaky bath tub faucet on-the-spot, without having to schedule for a future date. James and Isaac are polite, conscientious, capable and respectful. I highly recommend them.

I had a sewer line back up at a new property I purchased and I was very pleased with the professional work done by Isaac Martinez of James Plumbing. He was able to clean out the pipe and determine the cause of the back up and was able to locate the portion of pipe that needs replacement to prevent further issues. He was not only very informative and explained the situation clearly, he also gave me a significant break on the charges. I will definitely use their services again.

Isaac was very nice, friendly, responsive, approachable, and professional. He took the time to explain our system and what needed to be done. He was able to fix our water heater and boiler the same day that we learned that they needed to be serviced. I found the whole process, from initial scheduling through getting my tankless water heater drained and cleaned, handled easily and professionally. Carlos then coordinated the crews and permits to later complete this major job of replacing our main connection to the city sewer. This was a big project, Carlos kept us informed at each key step and the result was a very good job! James Plumbing is honest, punctual, and friendly. Nonetheless they left us with a new Rinnai hot water heater that was not fully functional, cold showers after one minute. They made multiple house calls and involved the manufacturer all to no effect. They gave up. Another highly recommended Santa Fe plumber came out and saw the problem immediately installing a $60 valve. Hot water restored. Make of this what you will, I only report my experience and have been reluctant to do so. Sorry.

We called James Plumbing to move our outmoded heating system across and over an interior hall and into our garage - we opted for the Navien combo boiler system, and connected to a radiant heating system. They didn't skip a beat, recommended a suitable solution to the challenge of moving so much, and did a fine job. They also fixed several smaller plumbing issues and are to install a new dishwasher for us next week.They are punctual, honest, correctly priced and considerate. Called and scheduled a time to come service my RV's AC unit. Told the dispatch that it was likely just a freon recharge. James, the owner came out, told me I had a closer system that needed a piercing valve to get freon in the system (standard procedure) that he didn't have the valve, and that it would cost me $700 and it would not be a guaranteed fix. I told him that he didn't tell me anything I wasn't aware of. His response was that I didn't know about the valve, and he charged me $120 for his 15 min. of unscrewing the lid - I was able to settle for 100 cash - don't use these people. Repairing a closer freon system normally costs about $200 and using a pinch valve is a normal part of that process.

Swamp cooler stopped working during very hot weather. We called James Plumbing. The tech arrived the very next morning at 8:00AM. He was courteous, friendly, and efficient. A new motor was purchased and installed within an hour and a half. Terrific!

James Plumbing is honest, punctual, and friendly. Nonetheless, they left us with a new Rinnai hot water heater that was not functional, cold showers after one minute. They made multiple house calls and involved the manufacturer all to no effect. They gave up. Their next step was to break through our walls! Another highly recommended Santa Fe plumber came out and saw the problem immediately installing a $60 valve. Hot water restored. Make of this what you will, I only report my experience and have been reluctant to do so. No contact since. No apology. No explanation. No way.

Isaac Martinez is an excellent plumber and extremely reliable, honest, and easy to work with. He took over my major remodel project from a less than adequate plumber. Isaac completed the work in a timely and competent manner. I would work with Isaac again in the future

Carlos, Isaac & Thomas did the heavy lifting of replacing the incoming water line & broken sewer line. They handled the unexpected & got the job done right. I’ll call James Plumbing again when I need a plumber.Isaac from James Plumbing did a terrific job! His inspection of my old radiant heating boiler included carbon monoxide testing, checking seals and gas flow, zones and more. I'll certainly call again.

Noticed that our water heater was leaking and also needed some additional plumbing tasks completed. Carlos from James Plumbing did a phenomenal job. Not only was he reliable, punctual, professional and friendly but you could tell he loves what he does and he is a master professional. We ended up needing a new water heater and a few other parts replaced as our hard water had wrecked havoc. It's a nice feeling to know there is a company you can rely on when it comes to plumbing who will be nothing but professionals about the task at hand. Issac and James of James Plumbing and Heating have given me excellent service on two occasions. They found a large propane leak in my outside and inside pipelines. They worked with my gas company and helped repair, replace, and test all my propane piping to all my appliances. Recently they replaced my radiant heat boiler of 32 years, and hot water heater with a new tankless Navien combination system. This also required totally replacing the pipes, valves, various parts and vents in my utility room. It's a beautiful work of art I must say! They arrived when they said they would, communicated well, worked efficiently and cleaned up after the work was complete. I will not bother with other estimates or plumbers in the future!

James Plumbing and Heating installed a new boiler for us. They were able to source and install the heater within 24 hours of our call, during a period of below freezing temperatures. The boiler not only supplies our regular hot water, but is the source of our in-floor heating, making the quick turnaround critical to keeping our house warm. The work was impeccably finished and James followed up the next day to make sure everything was running smoothly. Highly recommend James Plumbing and Heating.

The ground around our outdoor hose bib was staying damp so we suspected there was a leak. We called James Plumbing as their reviews were positive and they showed up as promised. The leak involved digging 5 ft for the repair and they replaced a PVC pipe with a copper one and supported it from below. I appreciated the explanation and updates and think the price was fair for the amount of work involved. I also prefer to hire local family run businesses if they do good work, as James Plumbing did.

I cannot recommend this business enough! I am a new home owner and needed to replace my boiler and water tank. I called Jame's plumbing and was able to schedule an appointment for an estimate within a week of the call. Isaac with Jame's Pluming was professional, extremely kind and helpful. He answered all of my questions and gave me tons of information on the different options that I had for replacing my system.He replaced my boiler/water tank, hauled the old ones away and left the utility room cleaner than it had been prior to the service. Jame's Plumbing offers several different options and were flexible with the brands used--they even ran to Home Depot day of to pick up the Rheem tank that I wanted.They're awesome. Thanks so much!

If you want a lasting plumbing job done correctly the first time, then James’ Plumbing & Heating are the people to call! Not only was my problem fixed promptly, it was affordable and everything was explained to me in depth and all of my questions were thoroughly answered. Furthermore, the person who fixed my problem (Isaac) called later on in the day to ask if everything was working properly. That type of service is rare nowadays and highly appreciated. James’ Heating & Plumbing will be my go-to for all future plumbing/heating needs. Keep up the great work!

Will absolutely use again. Was able to schedule quickly, admin and plumber were all exceptional. As a little bonus (not necessary but I so appreciated it) they didn't track any dirt or gravel into my home - very tough to do with the snowfall that morning and my messy driveway. Highly recommend!

Carlos was best plumber ever! So knowledgeable and tidy. He cleaned up everywhere he went and practiced excellent COVID protocols. My kitchen sink leak proved very challenging, but he solved the problems. He also checked both gas fireplaces and got them both in perfect working order. I highly recommend James Plumbing!

A truly outstanding experience. Thank you, James’ Plumbing! Isaac Martinez was courteous, professional and a skilled craftsman. He vented a bathroom fan/light through the roof in about 2 hours. Isaac’s work was very meticulous, with very little damage to the ceiling sheetrock. The flue on the roof was capped and professionally patched with tar — I don’t think a roofer could have done it better. I’ve waited 10 years for a great plumbing experience in Santa Fe. Isaac was worth the wait!

They were very pleasant to work with and explained all the steps involved in the installation and provided guidance on future maintenance. The installation looks excellent. I am so happy to have found James Plumbing. Thomas arrived promptly and repaired a pipe that was leaking in my crawl space (actually more than leaking — spewing 400 gallons of water a day that my water usage app alerted me to). Priscilla at reception was helpful and courteous as well. The quality of work done, the professionalism, the quick response time and the fair price are all reasons why I will call them again for my future plumbing needs.
